Od połowy kwietnia 2023 roku wspólnie z Wami odkrywaliśmy bogactwo historii Placu Grunwaldzkiego. Poprzez wywiady, spacery i inne wydarzenia opowiadaliśmy o lodach z naszego osiedla, historii lotniska przy Kaiserstrasse oraz poznawaliśmy Grunwald oczami jego mieszkańców i mieszkanek.
Dziś mamy przyjemność zaprosić Was 31 marca w godz. 17:30-19:30 na wydarzenie podsumowujące projekt „Plac Grunwaldzki – nieopowiedziana historia” realizowanego ze środków Fundacji EVZ.
„Plac Grunwaldzki-nieopowiedziana historia”
Projekt „Plac Grunwaldzki – nieopowiedziana historia” to dwuletnia inicjatywa finansowana ze środków Fundacji EVZ, mająca na celu odkrycie, zachowanie i popularyzację opowieści związanych z Placem Grunwaldzkim. Osiedle znane jest z licznych wydarzeń, takich jak rozwój środowiska akademickiego po II wojnie światowej, czy działaniem opozycji. Kryje ono w sobie także wiele zapomnianych faktów, szczególnie związanych z masowymi wyburzeniami przeprowadzonymi w czasach Festung Breslau.
W ramach realizowanego projektu zaprosiliśmy mieszkańców i mieszkanki do wspólnego odkrywania historii osiedla. Poprzez warsztaty, spacery, prelekcje i felietony, upowszechnialiiśmy wiedzę o wydarzeniach mających wpływ na rozwój naszej lokalnej społeczności. Umożliwiliśmy mieszkańcom dzielenie się swoimi wspomnieniami oraz doświadczeniami, co pozwoliło na stworzenie bogatego archiwum lokalnych narracji. W trakcie warsztatów uczestnicy i uczestniczki mieli okazję m.in. ożywić piękno poniemieckich kamienic, a także stworzyć własne graficzne opowieści. Inicjatywa zyskała dużą popularność, co zaowocowało emocjonalnymi spotkaniami oraz wymianą wspomnień.
Premiera pierwszego osiedlowego zina i filmu
Już 31 marca w godzinach 17:30-19:30 serdecznie zapraszamy na spotkanie, podczas którego zaprezentujemy efekty naszej pracy. W trakcie wydarzenia odbędzie się premiera pierwszego osiedlowego zina, stworzonego przez uczestników i uczestniczki warsztatów graficznych. Za projekt odpowiada Ewa Głowacka, wrocławska graficzka, artystka i aktywistka. Spotkanie jest również doskonałą okazją do premierowego obejrzenia krótkometrażowego filmu zrealizowanego przez Wiktorię Didoszak oraz Tomasza Wszołka, którego scenariusz powstał na podstawie wspomnień mieszkańców i mieszkanek osiedla.
Warsztaty tworzenia pocztówek i sąsiedzkie rozmowy
W ramach wydarzenia zaplanowaliśmy bezpłatne międzypokoleniowe warsztaty prowadzone przez Magdalenę Weber, podczas których będziecie mogli spróbować swoich sił w tworzeniu pocztówek. Swoje prace przygotujecie przy pomocy gotowych stempli i poduszeczek z tuszem, a także waszych autorskich prostych form. To świetna okazja, aby rozwinąć swoje artystyczne umiejętności i zabrać ze sobą unikatową pamiątkę.
Spotkanie będzie także przestrzenią do sąsiedzkich rozmów. Chcemy, aby to wydarzenie stało się nie tylko podsumowaniem, ale także świętem naszej społeczności, gdzie każdy z Was będzie mógł podzielić się swoimi wspomnieniami i refleksjami.
Udział w wydarzeniu jest bezpłatny i nie obowiązują zapisy. Zapraszamy osoby w każdym wieku. Chcemy, aby to spotkanie stało się miejscem integracji, wymiany myśli i inspiracji do dalszego działania!

O prowadzącej warsztaty
Magdalena Weber – jestem artystką, graficzką, animatorką kultury. Absolwentką Akademii Sztuk Pięknych im. Eugeniusza Gepperta we Wrocławiu kierunków Mediacja Sztuki oraz Grafika. Tworzę głównie w technice linorytu, czyli technice druku wypukłego. Inspiruje mnie człowiek, jego historię i emocje, faktury oraz ślady, które możemy odnaleźć w otaczającej nas naturze. Linoryt pojawił się w moim życiu w 2010 roku i został już na stałe. Od tego czasu eksperymentowałam z różnymi metodami tworzenia matrycy, różnymi sposobami cięcia, a także samego druku. Druk wypukły, w tym linoryt, jest techniką w która daje mi najwięcej możliwości wyrazu artystycznego. Stypendystka Ministerstwa Kultury i Dziedzictwa Narodowego w 2020 roku, Prezydenta Miasta Wrocławia w 2019 oraz trzykrotna stypendystka Rektora Akademii Sztuk Pięknych we Wrocławiu. Moje prace były wielokrotnie prezentowane na międzynarodowych konkursach i biennale na całym świecie, między innymi w Armenii, Rumunii, USA czy Argentynie. Od 2017 współtworzę projekt Printcard Wrocław- międzynarodowy projekt wymiany prac graficznych. Prowadzę różnorodne warsztaty artystyczne w tym warsztaty z grafiki warsztatowej.

We invite you to a meeting around the stories of the Plac Grunwaldzki estate.
Since mid-April 2023, we have been exploring the rich history of the Plac Grunwaldzki estate with all of you. Through interviews, guided tours and other events, we have talked about various stories: from the sweets from our housing estate to the history of the airport on Kaiserstrasse. Most of all, we learned about this space through the eyes of its inhabitants.
Today, we have the pleasure of inviting you on 31 March from 17:30 to 19:30 to the closing event of the project „Plac Grunwaldzki – an untold story”, implemented with funding from the EVZ Foundation.
Plac Grunwaldzki – an untold story
This project is a two-year initiative funded by the EVZ Foundation. It aims to discover, preserve and popularise the stories associated with the Plac Grunwaldzki estate. It is known for numerous events, such as the development of the academic community after World War II or the activities of the political opposition during the Soviet times. It also hides many forgotten facts, especially those related to the massive demolitions carried out during Festung Breslau.
As part of the project, we invited the residents to discover the history of the estate together. Through workshops, walks, lectures and columns, we disseminated knowledge about events that had an impact on the development of our local community. We enabled residents to share their memories and experiences, creating a rich archive of local narratives. During the workshops, participants had the opportunity, among other things, to revive the beauty of post-German townhouses and create their own graphic stories. The initiative was very popular, resulting in emotional encounters and an exchange of memories.
Premiere of the first neighbourhood zine and film
We want to invite you to an event on 31 March from 17:30 to 19:30, during which we will present the effects of our work. The event will include the premiere of the first neighbourhood zine, created by the participants of the graphic design workshop. Ewa Głowacka, graphic designer, artist and activist from Wrocław, is responsible for the publication. The meeting is also an excellent opportunity to watch the premiere of a short film made by Wiktoria Didoszak and Tomasz Wszołek, the script of which is based on the memories of the estate’s residents.
Postcard-making workshops and neighbourhood talks
As part of the event, we have planned a free intergenerational workshop led by Magdalena Weber, during which you create postcards. You will prepare your works using ready-made stamps and ink pads, as well as your simple forms. This is an opportunity to develop your artistic skills and take away a unique souvenir.
The meeting will also be a space for neighbourly conversations. We want this event to become not only a recap but also a celebration of our community, where each of you can share your memories and reflections.
The event is free to attend and no registration is required. People of all ages are welcome to attend. We want this meeting to be a place for integration, exchange of ideas and inspiration for further action!

About the workshop leader
Magdalena Weber – I am an artist, graphic designer and cultural animator. A graduate of the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław, majoring in Art Mediation and Graphic Design. I create mainly in linocut technique, i.e. relief printing. I am inspired by people, their stories and emotions, textures and traces we can find in the nature that surrounds us. Linocut came into my life in 2010 and has stayed permanently. Since then, I have experimented with different methods of creating the matrix, different ways of cutting, and the printing itself. Convex printing, including linocut, is the technique in which I find the most opportunities for artistic expression. I have received a scholarship from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage in 2020, from the Mayor of the City of Wrocław in 2019, and I have received three scholarships from the Rector of the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław. My work has been presented several times in international competitions and biennials around the world, including Armenia, Romania, USA and Argentina. Since 2017, I have been co-creating Printcard Wrocław- an international project for the exchange of graphic works. I lead various art workshops including workshops in printmaking.
